On a sunny weekend at the end of September, the inaugural Yorkshire Bicycle Show was held in Leeds. CTC was one of the main sponsors and staff and volunteers from West Yorkshire and National Office turned out with the ever popular Shoretrax Pump track. See just how much fun was had by all!

The ‘Major Taylor Century Ride’ takes place in Massachusetts this week. On 6 October, over 100 cyclists will ride up to 100 miles to pay homage to the first African American athlete to achieve World Champion status.

CTC, the national cycling charity, is bitterly dismayed over today's decision of the Court of Appeal in Edinburgh to allow 49-year-old Gary McCourt, whose driving has killed two cyclists, back on the roads.

Cyclists have shown overwhelming support for Alex Paxton's challenge of the FPN he received a few weeks ago. Individual donors have given a total of £2669.50. Alex has submitted his request for a hearing in the Magistrates court to contest the FPN.
