Darvelo '24 Discovery Ride

The discovery ride is organised by Cycle Ayrshire as part of the Darvelo ’24 festival of cycling, music and food. It’s an opportunity to sample relaxed, group cycling with a local cycle touring club.

The 15-mile, scenic route is on paths and quiet roads heading alongside the river Irvine to Galston, round by Cessnock Castle and Sornhill, over the easier side of Windyhill to Newmilns before returning to the start via the riverside or Lanfine Estate.

It’s not all flat but we cycle at a relaxed pace and take hills slowly, walking if necessary.

Once back in Darvel there’s the festival food and music to enjoy.

Under 18’s are welcome but must have a signed Parental Consent Form

Under 13’s MUST be accompanied by an adult.
