Notice. In response to a few recent email enquiries, the Show Committee wish to remind the minority of cyclists with short arms and deep pockets, that income from modest site entry charges is an essential contribution towards the £60K cost of the event.

The annual Ron Kitching Challenge Ride takes its name from one of Yorkshire's (and the UK’s) most eminent and colourful cyclists. Ron became not only a star racing man but grew his business so that it became one of the world's largest import / export businesses of cycling equipment.

The York Cycle Show Committee (all volunteers) would like to express their thanks to all the other volunteers and helpers, who make this event possible. Without volunteer help, the Cycle Show could not take place.

York is well served by road, rail and air. The National Cycle Network's "White Rose" route 65 passes close to the Racecourse, which is also brown-signposted from the A64 bypass. Satnav users YO23 1EU. OS GR SE595499. The Way of the Roses cycle route links York from the east and west.
