Become a CTC-accredited cycle instructor
National Standards (Bikeability)
National Standards (Bikeability) Instructors deliver training to children - usually in schools - and adults - mostly one-to-one. The National Standards work at three levels to promote confidence on a bike, enjoyment of cycling, road awareness and interaction with traffic.
There are a number of schools, youth groups, businesses, families and individuals looking for cycle instructors in their area. If you are good at communicating, enjoy working with others, have experience of cycling, enjoy working outdoors, and enthusiasm for teaching, this could be the perfect job for you.
Once you have completed and passed your training course, you will be qualified to teach Bikeability at all three levels and instruct to a standard recognised nationally across the UK.
