Forestry Commission and CTC to work in tandem

The partnership agreement sets out an exciting joint ambition to increase the role that cycling plays on the Forestry Commission Estate to enhance the health and well being of the nation and to support local delamere-28.jpgtourism. We also would like to see local communities making the most of the natural beauty that the public forest estate offers and cycling is a great way to enjoy the surroundings.

Lower gears on a road bike

Question Detail:
I am recovering from a recent heart attack and need to lower the gears on my Specialized Roubaix. Current drivetrain is Shimano 105 with compact double chainset. I’ve looked at the option of using a 10-speed 12–36 cassette with a 9-speed mountain bike mech. Would smaller rings be another possibility? Or a triple chainset? From CTC supporter, John Plant
