Sunday ride to Cliddesden - Faster / Longer L3

Bob Damper will be leading a Faster paced day ride (12-14mph) from West End, Coffee at Swarraton Cafe, Northington, Lunch at Jolly Farmer Cliddesden.

Saturday ride to The Wallops - Gentle L1

Cyrilyn Scott will be leading a Gentle paced ride (8-10mph) from Romsey to The Museum of Army Flying Cafe for Lunch.

Sunday half day ride to Landford - Moderate L2

John Heath will be leading a Moderate paced half day ride (10-12mph) from Redbridge to Landford to meet Winchester CTC for Coffee. With option to continue with Winchester CTC for an all day ride.

Change to Sunday ride, now to The Tytherley's and Dandy's Ford - Moderate L2

On Saturday night there is the likelihood of ground frost with possible ice. On Sunday the temperature at 9 am will be cold, around 3C, with increasingly overcast sky. Heavy rain associated with the main front will be moving in around 2pm. The wind at 9am will be slight from the SSW, increasing 16 to 21 mph by noon and 3pm respectively, with gale force gusts of 39 mph by 3 pm. Altogether not a pleasant day. 

GPS and Route Planning talk and workshop.

 
 
At Southampton CTC clubroom there is a talk / open workshop on GPS and route planning for cycling, led by Michael Ward and Richard Haynes.

EVENT: Winchester Early Season 50 miles

Early Season 50 miles is organised by Winchester CTC. Entry is either in advanced (via PayPal) or on the day. Further details and entry form can be found at http://www.winchesterctc.org.uk/events/56-early-season-2015

The ride starts at 9.30 am from the Queens Head PH on the B2177 at Fishers Pond, it is a rolling route rather than hilly and is mainly on quiet roads. Parking is available and Coffee/tea is provided (included in entry fee) at the Queens Head before the event. Food is available at the pub from 12.00 onwards. The minimum time is 3 hrs and maximum is 5 hrs.

Sunday half day ride to Leckford - Moderate L2

James Airey will be leading a Moderate paced (10-12mph) half day ride from Chandlers Ford, Railway Station to Leckford for Coffee.

Saturday ride to Hythe - Gentle L1

Jim Gill will be leading a Gentle paced ride (8-10mph) from Romsey to Ashurst for coffee, and lunch at Hythe.

Friday 1/2 day ride to Cadnam Garden Centre - Gentle L1

Kathy Purkis will be leading a Gentle paced (8-10mph) morning ride from North Baddesley to Cadnam Garden Centre for Coffee.

The route is mainly on road. There is 1 section of fairly flat bridleway that is nearly all tarmac. (about 200m of sand/gravel but still rideable.
We will go south down Rownhams Lane, down Lee lane, over the Test and across to Cadnam where we will stop for a break at the Café in Cadnam Garden Centre. We will return via the new forest, West Wellow and Romsey

 

Sunday half day ride to Downton - Moderate L2

Simon Keirby will be leading a moderate paced ride (10-12mph) from Redbridge to Downton for Coffee.
