Why should cyclists use Twitter?

Some say Twitter is a waste of time. It is, however, the world’s largest global conversation and is a very effective way for cyclists to network, campaign and communicate.

Twitter is an information network made up of 140-character messages called 'Tweets'. It's an easy way to discover the latest news related to subjects you care about, and you can add pictures and videos too.

Winchester CTC

Ride starts at 8.30a.m. from King Alfred’s statue in the Broadway, Winchester.  For the more experienced cyclist. Option of half or full day and a moderate or faster-paced ride.

Meeting or AGM

At our last meeting we looked at how the Dutch have created cycle-friendly towns and cities.  Thank you to everyone who attended – we hope you enjoyed it and came away more positive about the future of cycling in Portsmouth.  As a follow-up, we’ll be looking at how we can do this in the UK and in Portsmouth in particular.

Leveret 50km 2014

Local Group Event (inc DATC and Audax Rides)

Leveret is a circular route starting in Romsey an finishing in Timsbury. With a distance of 50 km with climbs to 144m and 111m it is an event for riders who have some experience but prefer a leisurely ride in the countryside. It is advisable to carry OS maps 185 and 184 or some means of navigation other than the route sheet provided on the day.
