Volunteer at the Tour of Britain

Peleton in Tour of Britain 2013
Can you give a little time to help cycling?

CTC is offering cyclists the opportunity to be part of The Tour of Britain on Friday 12 September 2014 and support the event through a number of volunteer roles.

Building on the success of the first three stages of the Tour de France, this year's Tour of Britain is set to be the biggest yet! Following the race's Grand Depart from Liverpool on Sunday 7 September, the riders will pass through locations such as South Wales, Brighton and Bristol, before finishing on the streets of central London on Sunday 14.

CTC is looking for volunteers to come and help support staff members run a Shoretrax track activity in Hemel Hempstead on Friday 12 September.

At this event adults and children can have a go on different bikes and find information about cycling in the local area. So, if you have good local cycle knowledge or would like to promote cycling, please register to volunteer with us.

Additionally marshalling roles are available throughout the duration of the tour.

Volunteer activities include:

  • Helping kids get ready to go on the Shoretrax track
  • Assisting with registration forms
  • Talking to the public about cycling, local cycling projects and opportunities in the area
  • Promoting the work of CTC, the national cycling charity
