Space for Cycling goes national

This week CTC has launched the nationwide Space for Cycling campaign. The aim is to create the conditions so that anyone can cycle, anywhere. Please take a minute to send a letter to your councillors asking them to sign up to Space for Cycling and join the thousands of CTC members who've already taken part. By contacting your councillors, you can help keep up the pressure to make our roads safer for cycling.

The Tour de Force Bicycle Orchestras are looking for cyclists to be part of the Yorkshire Festival. The Levenshulme Bicycle Orchestra are running free workshops to create new music from bicycle parts. Participants will assemble their own instrument (which might include a Singing Wheel, a Bicycle Thumb Piano, Handlebar Trumpet or a Frame Harp), learn to play it and then create music together to be performed on the same day.

By replacing 33 vans with the same number of cargo bikes, DHL Netherlands saves hundreds of thousands of Euros a year and 152 tonnes of CO2. But it's not just big firms: masses of small start-ups are helping to tackle last mile delivery by bike, delegates at the CycleLogistics conference learned in Nijmegen this week.

Hold on tight - it's gonna be a bumpy ride!
