Cycletopia – turning cycling dreams into reality
CTC, the national cycling charity has created ‘Cycletopia’ – an imaginary town made up of 15 real life examples in the UK of the best ways to promote, protect and inspire cycling.

New figures on local cycle use are "a powerful tool for measuring progress"
CTC has welcomed new figures showing how much walking and cycling is being done regularly around England by adults. This data, now being collected thanks to CTC's campaigning, will soon prove invaluable for measuring which local authorities are successfully raising cycle use locally.

And they're off... the Cardiff Cycle Challenge begins!
More than 1,500 people from around 80 different organisations across Cardiff are taking part in the Cardiff Cycle Challenge. And, because there’s still time to sign up, it’s hoped that even more people will join in.

Serious injuries to cyclists soar
CTC – the national cycling charity – has responded to news of a 16% increase in cyclist serious injuries in one year, by saying that the Government can’t expect more and safer cycling whilst at the same time cutting back on traffic policing and other road safety measures.

CTC is awarded full charitable status
The Charity Commission for England and Wales has approved CTC’s application to become a charity. The decision recognises that all the work of the UK's largest cycling organisation, with its 68,000 strong membership, is of benefit to the public.

CTC member gets compensation after being hit by a bus
A CTC member from Ealing has received a six figure out-of-court settlement from Transdev London after a double decker bus knocked him off his bike and ran over his leg, resulting in it being amputated below the knee.

Gordon Seabright is CTC's new CEO
CTC – the UK’s largest cycling charity has appointed Gordon Seabright as its new Chief Executive. Gordon will start work at CTC’s national office in Guildford at the beginning of March.

CTC Chief Executive pedals off to Europe
After 14 years as Chief Executive of CTC, Kevin Mayne will be leaving the organisation to become Director of Development for the European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF), which represents cyclists' interests in Europe.
