Driver facing jail for seriously injuring CTC councillor
This week the driver who hit John Radford in July 2013 was found guilty of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. Michael Gledhill faces up to five years in jail and John's family a life sentence.

Lancashire Youth Challenge wins Sport England Project of the Year
The Lancaster Youth Challenge(LYC), a sports and arts programme delivered by The Dukes, Marsh Community Centre, Fylde YMCA and the national cycle charity CTC, received the Sportivate (Sport England) Project of the Year Award at a ceremony in the Houses of Parliament on Tuesday.

Sheffield's FridayNightRide wins an award
CTC-affiliated campaign group CycleSheffield has been organising a Friday Night Ride once a month for the last six years, since Bike Week in 2008. The unique rides explore the city and the surrounding countryside, with a different theme every time.

The New Forest Gridiron comes of age
Last year, CTC Wessex's Gridiron in the New Forest in Dorset celebrated its 21st birthday, and this year's event took place on Sunday 12 October. The 100km route used mainly minor forest roads and took in many of the area's cattle grids, hence the name.
