Belgium, Philipines, Ireland, Surrey, Hampshire, Kent: these are just some of places where cyclists who took part in the latest CTC Challenge Ride & Sportive in Guildford were from.

A warm day and lots of sunshine added to the difficulty of the route. If you missed the event and would like to ride the course, you can download the GPS data and look at maps on the Challenge Rides website

You can also look at the results page to see how long most riders took to complete the 57 and 95-mile route.

Certificates were awarded to all finishers, as well as CTC goody bags packed full of cyclists' supplies - including a handy can of spray oil from Surrey-based GT85.

The next challenge

There are already over 200 entries for the next CTC Challenge Ride, the Ron Kitching at York Show on 23 June.

Bring your climbing legs for this one as it includes the steepest road in Britain, the 25%+ Rosedale Chimney.

Entries available online or through the post www.ctcchallengerides.co.uk
