The World Naked Bike Ride is a mass participation event to highlight the vulnerability of cyclists. But Roger Coupe, from Tunbridge Wells in Kent, takes to the saddle nude mainly for enjoyment. He's even ridden in France without clothing. Now he explains why he loves the no-Lycra look.

The 'Cycling Surgeon' and his daughter cross the US for WaterAid

The Chair of CTC in Scotland, surgeon Mr Chris Oliver and his daughter Catherine Oliver, have almost completed an intense and gruelling 3,415-mile cycle ride across America in aid of international charity WaterAid. They are due to finish this Wednesday 28 June.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of Bob Kynaston on 18 January 2013 after a short illness. Bob had been a CTC member for over 50 years, and the driving force behind the Tourist Competition for nearly 20 of those years.

He's back! CTC member comes second in World Cycle Race
Richard Dunnett with his bike
Richard Dunnett set off from Greenwich in February 2012, along with several other competitors, to take part in the first World Cycle Racing Grand Tour. The winner, Mike Hall, finished several weeks ago but on Saturday 7 July 2012, Richard came home in second place.

World Cycle Race
Niel the wheel
Long term CTC supporter Niel 'The Wheel' has left the comfort of his home in Appleby, New Zealand for the cycle journey of his life. He has joined the participants of the World Cycle Race that left London on 18th February. They are currently heading their separate ways through Europe.

Government’s new road safety strategy offers a mixed picture for cyclists
