Mad cycling in Maldon
Discovering Maldon’s muddy depths
There’s nothing murky about the beauty of Maldon on a bike and CTC’s cycle rides take you on a trip around all the hidden gems.
We’ve taken people on cycle rides of discovery, exploring historic Beeleigh, enjoying the panoramic views at Heybridge Basin, reaching the spires of Wickham Bishops and the wild, flat expanses of the Dengie Peninsular.
The rides continue every other Tuesday and Sunday meeting at 11am. More details are on the leaflet. The Tuesday rides meet at Maldon Library. Sunday rides start from the Bowls Club hut along Park Drive at Promenade Park.
Weekly Monday evening rides start on 12th May and run through to August. These are led by Maldon and District Cycling Club and start at 7pm from the Bowls Club hut at Prom Park.

Cyclists in Maldon are MAD
Maldon and District Cycling Club (MAD CC), like to live up to their reputation, but they’ve now got a new well-deserved status as the friendliest and most welcoming cycling club in Essex.
Chris, Rebecca and the team have welcomed dozens of new people cycling on their Monday evening cycle rides and the people have loved it so much they just kept on coming every week.
In addition, the club has supported the weekly Tuesday cycle rides and the Sunday cycle rides, with more to come.
