About our group

Stort Valley is a Local Member Group.

Stort Valley CTC organises Sunday cycle rides from Bishop’s Stortford and/or Harlow to the best cafes within 30 miles of our starting point. Many of our riders enjoy a ‘full-English’ before returning towards Harlow. Those wishing to socialize further will stop at a local pub to enjoy a pint or two before heading home for lunch. We usually cover around 50 miles from the start to the pub stop. On Wednesday, a group meets at a pub in the Herts/Essex borders for a lunch and a chat.

We organise a 100 mile ride once a year in June. Starting in Harlow we cycle to the Lordship Tea Rooms, Writtle for elevenses returning to Harlow for lunch. The second half of the ride then heads west to Church Farm, Ardeley for more refreshments before return to Harlow.

New members are always welcome and will be well looked after during the ride.
