Cycle-Counts best practice

Official rates of cycle use are usually underestimates.

When conducting a cycle count try to:

•     Do it in summer and avoid thunderstorms.
•     Do it in the morning rush-hour.
•     Don't fudge the figures.
•     State on the result sheet the time and weather conditions for the count.
•     Don't let the council or company bury it - distribute your findings widely.
•     Cite it as research in your literature.
•     Send out a press release with your results.
