Aurora is coming! Join Greenpeace's feeder rides
The Arctic is under threat. As the Arctic sea ice melts, oil companies are determined to drill for the same fuels that cause the melting in the first place.
Greenpeace are bringing the magnificent and awe-inspiring Arctic to London and we want you to join us! We will haul the biggest polar bear puppet in the world, Aurora, through the heart of London on 15th September to lead our spectacular Arctic Uproar parade.
On 15 September 2013, three feeder bike rides will set out from different parts of London, all with the same destination – to meet Aurora in the centre of town and travel with her, and hundreds of people, through the city streets. For more information about routes, times and locations, and resources to help get you looking the part, please see here.
Feeder rides will be as follows:
Ride West - starting at Richmond railway station
Ride East - starting at Victoria Park Pavilion
Ride North - starting at Alexandra Palace
You can register for the parade itself at our main page http://action.greenpeace.org.uk/page/s/aurora - and are welcome to join on your bikes even if you can’t make it to the feeder rides.
