CTC Instructor Training Organisation (ITO)
CTC is recognised by the Department for Transport (DfT) as an ITO. CTC is a provider of high quality cycling instructor training this means that CTC is able to provide the following courses:
National Standard Instructor courses (NSI). This four day course trains you to become an accredited instructor able to teach the National Standards / Bikeability to all levels and ages.
National Standard Assistant Instructor courses (NSAI). This 2 day course enables you to assist fully accredited instructors to teach the National Standards / Bikeability to Level 2.
National Standard Instructor Training courses (NSIT). This enables experienced instructors to teach people to become instructors. Note that in order to do that you must be affiliated to an ITO. For more information please email.
Professional Development. CTC in Partnership with Royal Borough of Kingston has a full range of Professional Development (CPD) courses; the DfT advises all instructors to attend 3 hours of CPD per year. For a full list of CPD courses click here.

The DfT now requires all Bikeability accredited instructors to register with an ITO.
