The European Commission is considering making it compulsory for drivers to have their lights on during the day - known as Daytime Running Lights - making it harder for drivers to notice cyclists and training them to think that 'no lights' means 'no hazard'. Take action!

The Road Safety Bill has passed through the House of Commons, but remains "a motorists' safety bill, not a road safety bill", in the words of one backbench Labour MP. CTC's Road Safety campaign had been pushing for greater protection for vulnerable road users. Read more
