Will you take up a Challenge in 2009?

This year’s Challenge Rides will again offer something for all cyclists, with a range of distances from family routes to 150km romps across some of the most picturesque terrain in the country. Accept the challenge of completing the full series of three or perhaps just ride one in an area you've never explored before. The Challenge Rides follow a simple formula: rewarding routes, stunning scenery and great camaraderie, coupled with a sense of satisfaction in the knowledge that you are raising vital vital funds for CTC Charitable Trust.
Warm up with breathtaking views and the ups and downs of the North Yorkshre Moors at the Ron Kitching Challenge on Saturday 20 June from the site of the York Cycle Show. Next, join former CTC President and Tour de France commentator Phil Liggett at his Phil and Friends ride in Sheffield on Sunday 2 August - there will be rewards and challenges in equal measure as the route climbs Holme Moss and Winnats Pass, punctuated by the picturesque Peak District villages of Hope and Castleton. In a change to last year's running order, finish the series on Sunday 13 September with inimitable TV cycling commentator David Duffield and a selection of new routes heading west from Castle Combe motor racing circuit in Wiltshire towards the Cotwolds and the Forest of Dean via the old Severn Bridge.
