Nige ready to ride
After spending too many years stuck in the workshops of cycle shops I escaped into the fresh air after being offered a "free" place on an OTC (nee CTC) MTB Leader Course, and look where I have ended up!

Key Attributes

  • Manages Outdoor Development Resource and Mobile Climbing Walls UK
  • 20 years experience ranging from cycle mechanic to shop manager to outdoor instructor
  • Active in CTC course delivery since 1999
  • Based in Lancashire, covers the UK

Once I had completed my initial mountain bike leader course, I was then "forced" to work off my course fee for the Outdoor Education Centre who had covered the cost of my initial course. My love of cycling and climbing combined with my abilities with the spanners kept me busy there for years!

Prior to this however, I had (of course) started riding bikes at a pretty early age.

Now working with CTC enables me to meet lots of amazingly interesting people, both colleagues and participants. The overall ethos of CTC integrates with my own thoughts wonderfully too.

My own time is spent doing just about anything involving the outdoors, riding my bike, fixing bikes, walking with my dog, riding my bike! You get the idea!
