Ride Manager
Key content
As a Ride Manager you can help others learn how to ride and enjoy the benefits of cycling.
The course builds on the knowledge and skills you gained from the Ride Supporter course. By the end of this course you'll be able to independently manage and lead rides on quiet roads and traffic free paths.
The course is ideal for leading rides on Sustrans' type trails and quiet roads. If you need more advanced knowledge consider either the Trail Leader course or the National Standard Instructor course.
Course Outcomes
During the course you will learn and demonstrate:
- Participants riding skills assessments and helping improve their confidence
- Leading techniques
- Route finding
- Reducing the likelihood of incidents and dealing with them if they do happen
What next
Some ride managers may go on to take the National Standard Instructor qualification.
