CTC's Leader courses help you to lead, support, guide and enable rides for all groups covering the differing requirements of adults, young people and children, and across the full range of novice to expert riders as well as on road or mtb.

CTC has provided high quality Leader qualifications since 1997.  We work in partnership with you to help you achieve a deep level of knowledge and understanding so that you are able to do everything you need with confidence in your knowledge and abilities.

A wide choice of progressive Leader courses suit every level of experience and environment, as shown below.  Entry point courses are identified by a black circle surround.

Ride Supporter
This course introduces you to the benefits of cycling; teaching you the basics of safe riding and supporting led rides.
Ride Manager
The Ride Manager Award enables you to guide and run great bike sessions and rides for a variety of participants.
On road ride leading
The Ride Manager Award enables you to guide and run great bike sessions and rides for a variety of participants.
Club Ride Leader
The Club Ride Leader course is a one-day course for experienced road club riders who are beginning to lead club rides.
Ideal for teenagers (14 -18 years), this course teaches you to help ride leaders guide group rides, but also develops team working skills, confidence and independence.
Bike Tour Leader - for guiding groups where ever you are in the world
The Bike Tour Leader is the cycling Tour Guide qualification for those providing cycling tours and holidays in the UK, Europe and around the world.
Riding is just one of the areas you will develop as a Young Leader
Ideal for those of 14 to 18 years of age, this course initiates the development of some of the personal and teamworking skills you will need in later life, using the context of mountain biking.

Covering all of the fundamental and essential skills of leading groups, the Trail Leader Award includes all the skills and practice you need to get out and lead.
Riding up the long meadow towards the mountains of Slovenia
The Technical Leader Award enables you to lead and guide groups into technical and demanding mountain bike terrain. Rocks, roots, lumps and bumps, moorland, open ground and forest form the environments for Technical Leader groups
Advanced MTB Bike Leader Award
Leading MTB groups into high and remote areas is a significant undertaking. The consequences of things going wrong increase several-fold, and the knowledge and application of CTC's best practice principles becomes critically important.
International cultural module
The International Cultural Module is designed to enable qualified Leaders to transfer their qualification to a different region or country. Currently applying in many European environments, the Cultural Module focuses on the specifics of the region to ensure your understanding and capacities to work
Fast Tracker
For those holding MIAS, SMBLA mountain bike leader qualifications or OTC mountain bike leader training courses and an extensive background in mountain biking and the outdoor education arena, the Fast Tracker system is a rapid way to achieve CTC qualifications.
