Big Bike Bash - Avon Tyrrell - New Forest 18/19 August 2012

The Big Bike Bash is back for 2012!

The 2012 Big Bike Bash, is aimed at the keen mountain biker or the happy amateur, and has more riders, prizes, bands, and beer than ever before. The cross-country racecourse is 3.5 miles of twisty single-track that includes river-crossings, a boardwalk and a unique Lake Jump.

The weekend is perfect for the whole family, with live music, DJs, a beer festival and activities to keep the kids entertained. Facilities include on-site camping, showers, bike wash, bike doctors, picnic area, climbing, boating activities and much more.

Avon Tyrrell's mountain bike facilities get even better

CTC MTB and Shoretrax Mountain Bike Trails have been working with the leading youth work charity UK Youth to further enhanced the off-road cycling facilities for young people and the local community at its Avon Tyrrell Activity Centre in the New Forest.

£8,000 raised at last summer's annual ‘Big Bike Bash’ and a recent £2,000 grant from the New Forest National Park Authority have been used to make the improvements.

Former World Champion racing driver Nigel Mansell recently presented Bike Club certificates to Andrew Omoding and Fatima, both members of The Camden Society Bike Club for All Abilities.

Andrew Omoding is not only a member of  The Camden Society Bike Club for All Abilities, he's also a key part of The Camden Society Triathlon team, which has raised thousands of pounds to help other disabled young people.
