CTC Volunteer Group of Year, East of England - Stevenage and North Herts CTC

The main feature of Stevenage and North Herts CTC activities is their very comprehensive rides programme.

No less than 135 rides took place during the 52 weeks from 1st October 2009 to 30th September 2010. That’s not far short of averaging three per week.

During the year they decided to organise Saturday Starters every week during the summer months and that’s really paid off.

The CTC group is very much part of our local community: once again we will be participating in the Health Action Day activities; we helped prepare the new cycle route maps for publication and work with the local council and Sport Stevenage on various projects.

Start of Summertime Specials

In 2010, the clocks changed and cyclists turned up in their hundreds to enjoy one of the three Stevenage Start of Summertime Specials.

If there were an award for local events Emitremmus Desrever and the Stevenage Start of Summertime Specials would be up there.
