Kevin took on the CTC Inclusive Cycling Forum in 2009, when it was a simple email group. He was encouraged and prodded to create a formal committee recognised by CTC and with a budget. After its first meeting at Parklands in March 2010, other committee and open meetings ;have moved round the country, plus a full social programme of weekend rides, from Lee Valley to Ellesmere in Cheshire.
Kevin established the Forum website http://inclusivecyclingforum.org.uk/ a mixture of news, blog, information resource and discussion and in June 2010, was nominated as Cycling England’s Personality of the Month, when the Forum was asked to help with staffing at a Disability Cycling stand at the Earls Court Cycle Show in October. Kevin contributed three days of his own time and found three other members to help.
Kevin leads the Forum at a time when there is growing recognition of the value of cycling for people with disabilities, and increasing willingness to support it. His energy and focus have proved invaluable in holding it together.
