Sue Holliday has been a member of the CTC for over 20 years and has worked as a long term volunteer with the A5 Rangers CC, a keen affiliated club. She has always taken an active part in that club’s affairs, not only racing but also encouraging and promoting the touring activities that have always played an important part in the A5 Rangers programme. The A5 Rangers have long had close relations with the CTC and encourages membership of the Club.

During 2008 Sue, in conjunction with South Northamptonshire District Council, launched a campaign to encourage local ladies in South Northamptonshire to take up cycling and this has continued into 2009 with an increasing number enjoying organised weekly leisure rides. On average some 8 or 10 ladies ride regularly and Sue continues to lead by example. She volunteers helping to organise tourist trials, social events and has been Chairman of the Northampton and District Cycling Association for a number of years. CTC Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes have been a contributing member club within this organisation for about 20 years. Although Sue’s work is nominally for the A5 Rangers, she spends a lot of her free trime encouraging the growth of cycle touring and leisure riding within Northamptonshire.
