Volunteer of the Year and Winner of the Moss Medallion for services to CTC Ireland, Cathy Francis

On the 80th Anniversary of CTC Northern Ireland no person is more deserving of recognition that the President of CTC Northern Ireland Cathy Francis.

When the anniversary was marked by the National Dinner and AGM of CTC coming to Belfast, it was Cathy who gave a cycling welcome that all our guests loved. On Sunday morning groups of volunteers organised be Cathy set off around the countryside to cater for every ability.

When not organising the welcome for guest from around the country, Cathy is the driving force behind the Member Group; she leads rides, organizes club nights and competitions and makes sure the Club is visible through many different forums.

Cathy also makes new riders welcome and goes out of her way to make sure there is a Five Miles to Fabulous Ride in Belfast every year to encourage new women riders. Prior to being President, Cathy was for many years DA Secretary.
