Alan Sprod
Alan is a tireless worker for cyclists in Mid-Bedfordshire. He is an articulate and active participant to the Bedfordshire County and the Mid-Beds District Cycle forums and is more than able to debate sometimes technical or controversial issues with elected members and highways engineers alike. He is a terrier when his attention is fixed on a situation which needs to be addressed and is not easily dissuaded from his (always well-considered and well-prepared) argument.
He has secured notable achievements in 2008 but no one should discount the constant groundwork he does on what might be considered minor adjustments to facilities for cyclists – each and every one of them important in its own particular way.
Being diligent, articulate, industrious worker for cyclists’ rights he is self-motivated, thinks problems through and makes a positive contribution to meetings, earning well-deserved respect from all and sundry.
