Winner of Volunteer Group of the Year for South East England, West Kent DA

CTC West Kent were nominated for organising the CTC day during the first stage of last year’ Tour de France. Many club members were involved including John Warren & Martin Gill. As well as attending committee meetings, John also handled all the publicity work while Martin dealt with the landlord of the pub 'Half Way House' and organised the installation of three TVs which allowed everyone to view the whole stage.

Members of the group spent the morning decorating the pub and turning it into the Hotel de Ville allowing several hundred cyclist’s from all over the country to enjoy a fantastic day in the Kent sunshine.
