Richard and Margaret are Life Members of CTC in every sense. Richard joined in 1955 and Margaret in 1966. Wherever they have lived; from Yorkshire, Devon, Kent, Wiltshire, Scotland and now somerset, they have been active CTC local officials, or started new sections where none existed.

Several years ago Stephen realised that if cycling was to grow there was a need to start a local group which encouraged relative novices and hesitant cyclists to venture on recreational rides.

From it’s very beginning Steve has been a constant factor within CTC Wantage, with a love for cycling activities and a rare ability to encourage and nurture with his gentle enthusiasm, combined with a vast experience of cycle touring.

Terry has been riding with Notts CTC since 1983. For much of that time, he’s held one office or another and, for the last 10 years, he’s been the group’s Secretary. Terry’s contribution to Notts CTC has been huge and he can take a lot of credit for its current state – as an active and well supported

What makes for the success of a CTC group is often the vision and purpose of one person. In the case of Swale CTC, that one person was Barry Jordan.
