Richard and Margaret are Life Members of CTC in every sense. Richard joined in 1955 and Margaret in 1966. Wherever they have lived; from Yorkshire, Devon, Kent, Wiltshire, Scotland and now somerset, they have been active CTC local officials, or started new sections where none existed.
CTC member groups all over the country can either prosper and succeed or decline and fall, thanks to the efforts, enthusiasm and commitment, or lack of it, of a small band of volunteers. Sue Hawkins joined the then Bristol Section committee in 2003 as “Runs secretary”.
This Certificate is awarded to TONY GRAFF in recognition of his 25 years service to the Cyclists Touring Club. During this period he served his Section – The Cheltenham section of the Bristol District Association – as Secretary for 20 years.
From it’s very beginning Steve has been a constant factor within CTC Wantage, with a love for cycling activities and a rare ability to encourage and nurture with his gentle enthusiasm, combined with a vast experience of cycle touring.
Where the bicycle is concerned Shirley has a passion in promoting its use, by endeavouring to ensure that the rider’s cycle is set up correctly and that the rider is sitting as comfortably as possible.
Terry has been riding with Notts CTC since 1983. For much of that time, he’s held one office or another and, for the last 10 years, he’s been the group’s Secretary. Terry’s contribution to Notts CTC has been huge and he can take a lot of credit for its current state – as an active and well supported
John has been Secretary of the Northern for 21 years and Beryl the treasurer for 20 years. When they came to the club it was in decline, but through their efforts it has been transformed into a thriving and progressive club thanks to their passion, enthusiasm and energy.
