Stephen Coe
After my family, cycling is the second largest contributor to the quality and enjoyment of my life. I draw both physical and mental satisfaction from the variety of cycling, the friendships and achievements I gain. The thrill of swooping down a hill to sling-shot up to the view the other side is the essence of cycling. Plus this is something one can continue doing, to a greater or lesser degree, despite advancing years, either alone or with family and friends.
CTC has a marvellous mission and ethos however I do feel it needs to be more visible in the regions to both Member Groups and ordinary members. Cycling has done a lot for me so this is a chance to put something back. When the time and opportunity to stand for Council arose my cycling friends were, and continue to be, supportive. Being half way through my term I now hope to increase what I can contribute and achieve in the next eighteen months as a conduit between Council and the members in the South West region.
