Working for Cycling
Certificate of Merit is awarded to members for outstanding service to the CTC and to cycling. Certificate of Commendation is awarded to those outside of the CTC for outstanding service to cycling and to cyclists.

Both awards can be awarded twice under exceptional circumstances.

Long Service Awards

These awards started in 2003 and are automatically awarded from the membership data and sent out from the Membership Department for those members celebrating continual membership for the following years :-

  • For 10 years membership you receive a Presidential letter.
  • For 25 years membership you recieve a Presidential letter, Certificate and Badge.
  • For 50 years membership you receive a Presidential letter, Certificate and Badge.
  • For 75 years membership you receive a Presidential letter, Certificate, Badge and Personal Gift.

Arthur Moss Merit Award

Awarded in recognition of outstanding services to the Club to the 'Volunteer of the Year' and is held for a period of one year. A continuous record is held on the trophy and a medallion is presented as an annual award.

Honorary Membership

Awarded to those outside of the Club for promoting cycling within their field. These are awarded yearly and subject to annual renewal.

Certificates of Merit and Certificates of Commendations are administered by CTC National Office and ratified by the Awards Committee, a sub-committee of CTC National Council, which meets three times a year or as required.
The CTC Voluntary Achievement Awards are for the people and groups throughout the UK and Ireland who deserve the most recognition for their achievements as volunteers.

This section lists all CTC members who have been presented with either a Certificate of Merit or a Certificate of Commendation with links to their Citations. Both Awards are presented to members who have have given outstanding service to CTC and Cycling.
