Phil Liggett, former CTC President and renowned cycling commentator, invites you to take part in this established highlight of the challenge ride calendar. Bridging the gap between audax and sportive, the Phil Liggett CTC Challenge Ride joins up some of the most stunning scenery in South Yorkshire – and some of the most testing climbs. Proceeds from the event go to the CTC Charitable Trust, which represents the interests of cyclists in the UK.

There are two routes available: the 150km, which features over 2600m of climbing including the fearsome Peak District climbs of Holme Moss, Winnats Pass and Monsal Head; and the 100km which takes in Holme Moss.  The route GPS co-ordinates can be downloaded here: 100KM GPX   150KM GPX   MMO file

More info on this event from April / May 2010 Cycle Magazine.
