This area of the site is evolving as we add some of the rich and vibrant history of our evolution from the Bicycle Touring Club in 1878 to CTC the national cyclists’ organisation of today
This will include articles, bibliography and perhaps the richest resource of all the CTC archives and library which is deposited at the National Cycle Archive in the Modern Records Centre of Warwick University
This link to their extensive cycling collection will take you to a catalogue of CTC materials and an extensive range of other archives

A very popular site with CTC members is the Winged Wheel site maintained by Keith Matthews, www.wingedwheels.info
Keith was a member of the CTC Council and secretary of Wessex CTC when he wrote an article about the wheels which appeared in the CTC Club Magazine in June 1993. Subsequently compiling a listing of the signs and researching into their history, he acknowledges the help of the CTC archives and the responses of many interested club members around the country who have flooded his letter box with photographs and sightings.
