CTC is the UK's national cyclists' organisation and has been protecting the rights of cyclists since 1878.

We bring together the largest, most dynamic, most diverse, most passionate group of cyclists in the country as an independent organisation working for and representing cycling and cyclists'.

CTC Charitable Trust and Cyclists’ Touring Club

In 2005 CTC set up the CTC Charitable Trust which aims to raising public and political awareness of the needs of current and future cyclists. The trust promotes cycling that is accessible and safe; cycling that is enjoyable and functional; cycling that enriches lives and communities; cycling for fair and inclusive access to health, mobility, leisure and environmentally sustainable transport.

All members already support CTC through their yearly subscription but you can also help further by donating. To donate please call our membership department on 0870 873 0061, email membership@ctc.org.uk or send a cheque made payable to CTC to CTC National Office, Parklands, Railton Rd, Guildford, Surrey GU2 9JX

Cyclists Defence Fund

In 2001 CTC set up the Cyclists' Defence Fund to help resist threats to the rights of cyclists. Its formation was prompted by the claim of insurer Provident against the parents of nine-year-old cyclist Darren Coombs who was brain damaged when hit by a car. Its aim is to enhance the position of cyclists, including support for legal cases where the rights of all cyclists are at risk.

For more information or to set up a regular contribution or join the Cyclists' Defence Network, CTC's network of legal and expert witnesses willing to support the work of the Fund, call 0870 873 0060 or email defence@ctc.org.uk. You can also donate now online by going to the CDF website: http://www.cyclistsdefencefund.org.uk.
