Kevin Mayne1.jpg Every day more and more people join CTC and that’s why we have surpassed our membership record set back in the ‘Golden Age’ of cycling in 1899. Today CTC has 60,776 members, supports 10,000 more cyclists in affiliated groups and has helped 20,000 beneficiaries through its charitable work. Safety In Numbers CTC has launched a campaign calling on the Government to double the levels of cycling and acknowledge the ‘Safety in Numbers’ effect of increased cycling. New research (5 mb) from CTC suggests that the risk of injury while cycling is lower in places with high levels of cycling. ‘New Vision for Cycling’ calls for a doubling of cycle use in ten years.
